Birdeye Data has released a new Token – Holder Chart API (GET /token/v1/holder/chart) that allows developers to retrieve historical holder count data for any token on the Solana network. This endpoint streams granular adoption metrics, enabling builders to track how quickly a token is gaining or losing holders over time.
For trading algorithms and AI agents, tracking price is no longer enough. Analyzing a token’s distribution and community growth, especially in its early stages, is critical for assessing its health. Previously, tracking historical holder growth required complex on-chain indexing. Now, developers can query this historical data directly to identify accumulation phases, community strength, and sudden drop-offs.
| Feature | Description | Value for Developers |
|---|---|---|
| Granularity | Supports 1s, 1m, 1h, and 1d intervals | Flexibility to track rapid launches (1s) or long-term growth (1d). Note: 1s granularity is limited to the last 3 days. |
| Data Padding Mode | padding vs. no_fill | Use padding to automatically fill missing timestamps for continuous charts, or no_fill to only return data when values change. |
| Percentage Change | beginning vs. previous | Dynamically calculate percentage change against the first record in the dataset or the immediately preceding record. |
Each API response delivers a structured array of holder counts corresponding to the requested Unix timestamps, along with automatically calculated percentage changes based on your chosen comparison parameters.
The Token Holder Chart endpoint is live now for the Solana network. Review the full request parameters and response schemas in the documentation.
